If you have any questions concerning safety in VFK, reading through these frequently asked questions should help.
What is a good password?
For the best security of your password, your password should include a mix of numbers and letters. Change your password every few weeks just to be safe. Avoid easy-to-guess passwords such as your name, birthday, or your VFK character name.
Is it allowed for someone to ask me for personal information?
Giving out or asking for personal information is not allowed. If someone requests such information, you should report them immediately using the "Help" button, then exit the room. If they are in your room, you should "boot" them.
Sharing personal information will result in your character being banned from VFK. For more information on bans, see the Bans FAQ.
What should I do if someone finds out my password?
If you think someone knows your password, change it immediately by clicking on the link to reset your password on the log in page.
Be sure to keep your password a secret and never give it out to anyone for any reason. Don't change your password to something that another player suggests, even if you consider them a friend.
What do I do if someone asks for my password?
If someone asks you for your password, do not give it to them. Report them immediately using the in-game "Help" button. Leave the room if you can, or boot them if they are in your room.
What do I do if my account has been hacked or scammed?
If someone has gotten on to your account, change your password immediately. Once your password is changed, send a report to the in-game staff using the Help button. List the items that you are missing and when the incident happened so that we are able to help you.
